Description

First, the defendant is the ex-girlfriend of the plaintiff’s son and claims to be the mother of her grandchild. Unconvinced, the plaintiff is demanding a paternity test and is suing to recover payment for her babysitting services.

Then, the plaintiff met his roommate, the defendant, on Craigslist. After a no-smoking rule was broken and some toiletries were stolen, he decided to move out. He is now suing the defendant for prepaid rent and security. The defendant is countersuing for unpaid rent, claiming the plaintiff broke his lease.

Plus, the plaintiff bought a car from the defendant that he is unable to get registered at the DMV. The defendant claims there’s nothing he can do, as the car was originally donated to him. Now stuck with a vehicle he can’t legally drive, the plaintiff is suing for a full refund.
