Making a case for Saagar about the morality of the neocons. Thaddeus Russel talks about this. The neocons are some of the most freedom-loving "libertarian" individuals. They believed in "human rights"; human rights and freedom are so fundamental that it is the United States' moral obligation to liberate countries from tyrannical governments. This moralistic view has led to the slaughter of so many innocent people. Neocons believe in the abstract ideas and favor them over the reality of the suffering caused by war. The ends justify the means to these people. This does not excuse Kissinger's actions.
