Description
What if someone told you about a type of therapy that could help you work through unhealed trauma in just ten sessions? Some people knock through it in two weeks. Jaime Lowe tried the therapy—and recorded it.
I keep drawing parallels to what happened to Jamie Lowe and what happened when I was run over. I think it's much easier to move on from what happened to me because I'm absolutely certain that I was not at fault and would never be at fault for a careless driver who didn't look both ways leaving an intersection.
A very good episode. Informative and interesting and emotional.
Very helpful and useful. Thanks for sharing. I would love to read a full book on this, exploring how the assault made the author feel and behave, the details of the sessions, and how feelings and behavior changed in the two years after the sessions.
so so good - on several levels - the tough long term effects of being a sexual assault victim /survivor is well described here... I recommend it to everyone
thanks for this
Thank You
this really hit me in the gut a couple times, causing me to stop it and cry a bit. but I did restart it and it ended up helping me a lot! when she talked about how intelligently she knew the attack wasnt her fault, yet deep down she still thought if she didnt wear those shorts, or if she didnt wave and smile at him, it wouldn't have happened... I relate... 30 years later still. also on how if nothing she did caused it, it means she can never protect herself... I feel that, which causes me to isolate too. I am going to see if I can do this now. thank you!!
