Did no one in this story explain to the kid that the way she feels about using opposite sex bathrooms would almost certainly be the way male students would feel about sharing a bathroom with a girl? And by extension how female students would feel about sharing a bathroom with a boy? And that these laws are not plucked from the sky by grumpy adults who have no skin in the game, that it actually comes from a concept of safeguarding?!
Are the parents of the child satisfied with their continuing 'support' of pretending a person can change sex that causes them untold ongoing trauma and upset, rather than actually get the child some help to feel better about themselves in their sexed body, that doesn't include lifelong medical intervention that will almost certainly shorten, if not severely impact, their life?!? And that will put an end to the ongoing distress of every perceived grievance against the child when laws are out into place to protect women and girls? Has no one question why the child decided to transition after a traumatic disruption in their short life when a global pandemic and their little life was totally upended, coupled with likely extended time spent lonely on the internet during a typically difficult time of puberty, notoriously a source of difficulty/shame/distress/hormone surges etc.
This episode totally stressed me out. There was no parallel whatsoever between school shootings and trans ideology. I just do not see the link.
