Description
The Simpsons bid farewell to Alice Glick, the church organist, in a recent episode. Despite previous resurrections, her death this time is confirmed by co-executive producer Tim Long. Alices passing, however, sparks a new storyline involving a music program at the local school, causing a conflict between Lisa Simpson and Joe Quimby the Third. Alice, first introduced in 1991, was voiced by Cloris Leachman and later by Tress MacNeille. The show continues to use character departures to introduce new plotlines.
