H. Pylori

H. Pylori is a type of bacteria that can infect the stomach and duodenum, the first part of the small intestine. It is a common infection, affecting millions of people worldwide. H. Pylori can cause a variety of symptoms, including stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and bloating. In some cases, it can also lead to ulcers, gastritis, and stomach cancer. H. Pylori is highly contagious and can be spread through close contact with an infected person, such as sharing food or utensils, or through contaminated water or food. Treatment for H. Pylori typically involves a combination of antibiotics and a proton pump inhibitor, which helps to reduce stomach acid production.

Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a medication used to treat type 2 diabetes and obesity. It is a GLP-1 receptor agonist, which means it mimics the effects of a naturally occurring hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). GLP-1 helps to regulate blood sugar levels by slowing down the rate at which food is emptied from the stomach, increasing insulin production, and reducing glucagon production. Semaglutide is available as an injection and is typically taken once a week. It can cause side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation. It is important to talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of semaglutide before starting treatment.

Tallow

Tallow is a type of animal fat that is rendered from beef, sheep, or goat fat. It has been used for centuries as a cooking oil, soap, and candle wax. In recent years, tallow has gained popularity as a natural and healthy ingredient in skincare products. Tallow is rich in fatty acids, including stearic acid, palmitic acid, and oleic acid, which are known to have moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also a good source of vitamin A, which is essential for healthy skin. Tallow is a sustainable and environmentally friendly ingredient, as it is a byproduct of the meat industry. It is also hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, meaning it is unlikely to clog pores or cause breakouts.

Fishbowl

Fishbowl is a party game that involves players taking turns drawing cards with prompts and acting them out without speaking. The other players have to guess what the prompt is based on the player's actions. It is a fun and silly game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Fishbowl is often played at parties, gatherings, and team-building events. It can be a great way to break the ice, get people laughing, and encourage creativity.

Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas is a popular tourist destination located at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. It is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant nightlife. Cabo San Lucas is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing. It is also home to a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. Cabo San Lucas is a great place to relax, have fun, and enjoy the beauty of Mexico.

PCOS

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that affects women of reproductive age. It is characterized by the development of multiple cysts on the ovaries, irregular periods, and excess androgen (male hormone) production. PCOS can cause a variety of symptoms, including acne, weight gain, hair loss, and infertility. There is no cure for PCOS, but treatment options are available to manage the symptoms and reduce the risk of long-term complications. Treatment may include lifestyle changes, such as weight loss and exercise, as well as medication to regulate hormones and improve insulin sensitivity.

Bloom Greens

Bloom Greens is a powdered supplement that provides a concentrated dose of fruits, vegetables, and other nutrients. It is designed to support overall health and well-being by providing essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Bloom Greens is a convenient way to get a daily dose of greens, especially for people who don't eat enough fruits and vegetables. It is also a good option for people who are looking for a natural way to boost their energy levels, improve their digestion, and support their immune system.

They also have a refill model, which allows customers to purchase only the concentrate and oxygen boost, reducing waste and cost.

D-Chiro Inositol

D-Chiro Inositol is a type of sugar molecule that is naturally found in the body. It is a key component of the inositol family, which plays a role in various cellular processes, including insulin signaling, cell growth, and nerve function. D-Chiro Inositol is often used as a supplement to improve insulin sensitivity, particularly in individuals with PCOS or insulin resistance. It is also believed to have beneficial effects on hormone balance, mood regulation, and fertility. D-Chiro Inositol is generally considered safe for most people, but it is important to talk to your doctor before taking it, especially if you have any underlying medical conditions or are taking other medications.

Q&A

  • How to live a healthy lifestyle going into freshman year of college?

Try to time out your workouts and eat healthy snacks. Walk to class if you can and choose healthy options at the cafeteria. It's college, so have fun, but try not to drink too much and take care of your body.

  • Why do you take D-Chiro Inositol as a supplement?

It helps with insulin resistance, hormone balance, PCOS, and fertility. It helps shut insulin into the cell so you don't have high blood glucose, which is a common issue for PCOS.

  • Do you meal prep? If so, what are you keeping every week?

I meal prep every now and again, usually veggies or sweet potatoes because those take a long time. I'm not the queen of meal prepping, but I do rice and ground beef and some green beans for three days basically.

  • Is there anything about your character you're working on? Example being more patient.

I'm trying to be less obsessive-compulsive. I think sometimes I can be a little too critical and nitpicky, especially with Kenny. I'm trying to catch myself doing that and be more accepting of him as he is.

  • How to get your parents to believe that red meat isn't bad for you?

Lead by example and explain the reasons why you eat the way you do. Share information about the benefits of red meat and how it can be part of a healthy diet. It's important to remember that your parents may not change their eating habits, but you can still educate them and share your knowledge.

  • Do you use tallow-based sunscreen?

Yes, I use Soul & Sky tallow-based sunscreen. It's amazing for sensitive skin and doesn't cause any allergic reactions. I used it in Cabo and didn't burn at all.

  • How tall are you, Mari?

    I'm 5'10. Fee is 5'9.

  • What is your favorite sunscreen?

I use Soul & Sky tallow-based sunscreen for my body and Hello Sunshine for my face. They both work great for sensitive skin.
