Description

24-year-old Daniel Penny now faces a manslaughter charge for the killing of Jordan Neely on a New York City subway earlier this month. With the case still gripping the headlines, many are wondering if his claim of self-defense will succeed in a courtroom – or if he will face prison time. This case is just a tragedy all the way around. Neither of these men should have ever been put in the positions that they ended up in. Neely should have never been left to fend for himself given how sick he was, and Penny should not have been forced to step up and take the responsibility abdicated by the state to protect himself and fellow passengers.
