The Cures longtime guitarist, Perry Bamonte, has passed away after a brief illness. Known as Teddy, Bamonte joined the band in 1984, contributing to albums like Wish, Wild Mood Swings, and Bloodflowers. He played guitar, six-string bass, and keyboards, performing in over 400 shows. Bamonte returned to the band in 2022, playing 90 shows before his final performance in November 2024. He will be deeply missed, but his music with The Cure endures.
