Just wrapped up another long day on the new residential plans. I spent most of my afternoon buried in the https://remoteestimation.us/service/site-work-takeoff-and-estimating-service/, and let me tell you, it’s a lot more complex than it seems. I was manually calculating the cut and fill for the grading, trying to estimate the linear feet for storm drainage piping, and it just eats up so much time. I keep thinking there has to be a more efficient way to handle this part of the project, because getting these initial quantities wrong can throw off the entire budget before we even break ground. It's honestly one of the most critical, yet tedious, parts of my job right now.
