Welcome to June, where All-Star ballots are available and managers start getting fired. After discussing the nice, new deal Houston gave Yordan Álvarez and the impressive improvement from Seattle's stud rookie Julio Rodríguez, the guys spent some time on the two major league managers who filed for unemployment in the last week.
On our previous show, the Phillies were The Bad because of their brutal stretch of play and Joe Girardi being on the hot seat. Well, Girardi got canned and the Phils haven't lost since. So we tip our cap to them as this week's The Good. The Bad this week is the Angels, who let Joe Maddon go after losing 12 straight games (now 14). Things are bad in Anaheim, but - as we said last week with the Phillies - is it the manager's fault or the roster he's been given that doesn't work? And what will they do for a permanent manager in both Philadelphia and Los Angeles of Anaheim?
