Description
The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) has been entertaining audiences year-round for over 40 years. But it’s also a place of community, warmth and acceptance for those “in” the show and those watching it from the audience.
This Christmas, CGMC presents “Holly Dolly Christmas” – a Holiday Tribue to the legendary Dolly Parton. Nearly 250 singers and dancers will strut fabulous costumes and throw in some camp for a show that only CGMC knows how to do. Parton is a legend, but CGMC is a Chicago legendary institution.
Joining in the conversation are: Kevin Corbett (Managing Director), Jimmy Morehead (Artistic Director), Sean Mallory (Board President), Nico Nepomuceno (chorus member and choreographer) and Cody Dericks (longtime member and dancer). Together they share the history, the challenges and the importance of the productions put on by this group that welcomes all.
This year’s holiday show will play: Friday Dec 5th at harris Theater for Music and Dance; Saturday Dec 6th: at Northeastern Illinois University Auditorium; and Sunday, Dec 7th: at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie
Tickets can be purchased at: www.CGMC.org/holiday and more information on the Chorus can be found at: www.cgmc.org
