Understand what the will of the Lord is.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification.—“Agree with God, and be at peace; thereby good will come to you.”—“And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”—And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
We have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.—The God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,… give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might.

Evening:
Genesis 5:24 ; 2 Chronicles 15:2; 2 Chronicles 15:4; Psalm 73:28 ; Jeremiah 29:11 –13; Amos 3:3; Hebrews 10:19 –22; James 4:8
Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
Enoch walked with God.—“Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?”—It is good to be near God.
“The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you…. But when in their distress they turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found by them.”
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me… when you seek me with all your heart.”
Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way,… and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.
