As always, Mike and Caroline will take a peek at Bluegrass Today’s Grassicana and Gospel charts. They'll share some of this week's freshest, ripest bluegrass news. And this week brings a visit with the mandolin/guitar duo Grassy Strings of Kolkata in West Bengal, India, in a segment of Pickin on the Planet!
Mike and Caroline will also present an installment of Who Did It Best?, in which they present different versions of the same classic bluegrass tune for your consideration! This week they’ll be talking about that lovely and dark old ballad “Darling Corey,” sometimes known as “Dig A Hole In The Meadow.”
In a special addition to this week’s episode, Caroline will share an excerpt from Still Inside: The Tony Rice Story, the book she co-wrote with Tim Stafford about bluegrass guitarist and singer Tony Rice, who passed away on Christmas Day in 2020.
