Investors are assessing the risk of contagion after Swiss authorities last night orchestrated a deal for UBS to take over beleaguered bank Credit Suisse for more than $3 billion. The deal has been welcomed by regulators, but it may not be enough to assuage investors with stock markets in Asia and Europe down today.
