Methuen Mayor David "D.J." Beauregard issued an open letter to Market Basket's board of directors on July 24, asking them to "resolve this internal dispute and bring back Arthur T. Demoulas — before the damage becomes irreversible."
The letter was met with assurances from the board that the Market Basket New England knows and loves is not at risk. But since, other elected officials are beginning to speak out on the ongoing turmoil in the supermarket's leadership.
