Description
The Cubs struck first in the NL Wild Card Series, opening with a clutch 3–1 victory over San Diego at Wrigley Field. Seiya Suzuki and Carson Kelly went back-to-back with homers in the 5th to give Chicago the lead, and Nico Hoerner added an insurance run with a sacrifice fly in the 8th.
