John has been an associate professor in the teaching stream at the University of Toronto since 1994. He teaches courses in the Psychology department on thinking and reasoning with an emphasis on insight problem solving associated with creativity, cognitive development with an emphasis on the dynamic nature of development, and higher cognitive processes with an emphasis on intelligence, rationality, mindfulness, and the psychology of wisdom.

I had to stop at 20 minutes. I don't know how people made it past that with all the interruptions.
I put this on to fall asleep to. I feel like I've heard all of JBP's main theses, and I love John's work but often find it a bit beyond my ability to grasp. Aside from Jordan's constant interruptions, however, I found this conversation comprehensible and riveting. I now better understand John's ideas as well as how Jordan's (overly, imo tbh) symbolic thought maps to reality, and where/how their thinking map to each other.
Why bother having a guest if you're not going to let them finish any of their thoughts Jordan?

I enjoyed the conversation in this podcast, although it was hard to follow for two reasons. The first reason is, I'm not nearly smart enough to take it all in, in one listen. The second reason, and one I hope is taken as a honestly critique, is the constant interrupting from Jordan.
