It would be so easy to get Sam Harris ro bow before me and worship me. All I'd have to do is pretend to be an intergalactic alien and arrive with the cure for cancer and I'd stroke his ego by telling him he was right about all religions being false. Tell me that's not how the devil will make his attack? Anyways, you keep your space daddy aliens; I'll keep my Christ. The truth is the truth wether you believe it or not, and the universe is under no obligation to make sense to you. Peace.
Ontop of the fact that the Christian religion does not rely on a book. It relies on faith and they wrote it down in a collection of books written by 40 different authors over 1600 years. That alone is astounding and seperates it from every other religion because those religions follow 1 book written by 1 person. I however donr necessarily think Hindus/Buddhist will automatically go to hell. If they love God, then they'll also love His Son once He is revealed to them. Guess we'll see...
Sam Harris argument is disingenuous. Either ALL RELIGIONS ARE WRONG....OR, ONE IS RIGHT AND ALL OTHERS WRONG (Albeit every religion will have pieces of the truth because you cannot doop people unless you give some truth). I choose to believe Christ. All religions are "works based" (do this, do that; get to Heavan) except for Christianity, which is faith based and you cannot save yourself because Christ saves you. That seperates it from every religion ontop of the fulfilled prophecies
