Tetsu Yamauchi, renowned bassist for Free and the Faces, passed away at 79, leaving behind a legacy of iconic music. Born in Japan, he began his career with Micky Curtis and The Samurais before joining Free and the Faces. His contributions to Frees Heartbreaker album and the Faces live album are unforgettable. After the Faces, he pursued solo projects and session work, eventually returning to Japan. Yamauchis former bandmate, Simon Kirke, paid tribute to him as a great friend and bass player.
