Romans 1:24 warns us of a sobering truth: when people reject God’s truth, He gives them over to the desires of their hearts. God doesn’t always punish with fire or warning—sometimes He lets you have exactly what you’re chasing.

Wrong prayers come from worshipping the wrong god. If your god is wealth, sex, comfort, or success, your prayers will echo those idols. If your God is Jesus, your desires become aligned with Him.

The danger is real—even the Church can push its own will and mistake it for God’s. When that happens, God may abandon that false altar, letting us chase empty promises that destroy from within.
