Why Does Fighting Inflation Have to Hurt So Much?
Description
Jon is joined by Steve Hanke, a professor of applied economics at Johns Hopkins University, for a chat about why we find ourselves in this current inflation disaster and how we might get out of it. They get into whether the Fed is blowing it, the role of money supply, and whether anyone is looking out for the little guy in all of this monetary maneuvering. They don’t always agree, but Jon manages to score a passing grade from the professor! Plus, staff writers Kasaun Wilson and Henrik Blix are here talking about Kanye’s anti-Semitism and, of course, the Mets.

This Steve Hanke guy is a hack, wow. All noise from him no signal.
I had to listen twice. I have no understanding of economics. I appreciate this podcast for giving me a foundation to measure from to what I see. His bantar with Jon was delightful.
Great show. I'm glad that Jon exposed the incompetence of the right.
these psychopathic rotted husks of human beings that are 30 years past their prime (their prime being the highest point they were able to fail up into) are so narcissistic, aloof, incompetent and unimaginative that they literally can't see how Jon is obviously playing dumb to disarm them into showing their ass. and this guy is an absolute monster and moron. all the boomers and olds losing their minds about how the younger generations and minority groups are somehow responsible for the failures of our society and economy are utterly blind to the fact that this entire system is a Frankenstein of their own creation. just look at the types of assholes they've propped up into leadership positions. the same assholes are STILL in power and they're still influencing the Overton window and hindering creativity and original ideas by teaching proven failed ideology to the next generation of leaders and policy makers in schools all these decades later.
Where did you find this nut? At 68% into the Podcast I gave up and deleted.
I think a missed question is, should we not have put money into the economy but forced a move of the money supply from the rich through higher taxes and removal of loop holes down to lower levels?
