Michelle shares the intense and emotional journey of taking the first step toward her clinical trial at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto.

After being told she was accepted into the trial, she discovered she had no remaining tissue from her previous biopsy — putting her eligibility in jeopardy. In just 24 hours, the hope of a potential miracle nearly slipped away.

Determined to move forward, Michelle agreed to undergo another liver biopsy, despite her last one landing her in the ICU. She recounts the excruciating pain, the fear in her husband Ty’s eyes, and the relief of going home to her children instead of the ICU.
