Will Smith Returns to Men in Black, Chris Bremner on Script
Update: 2025-12-06
Description
Will Smith may don his iconic Men in Black suit again as Sony Pictures seeks his return for a new film. Chris Bremner, who penned the recent Bad Boys films, has been hired to write the script. This move follows Smiths successful comeback, with his latest film, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, earning $56 million in its opening weekend. Sony aims to replicate this success by bringing Smith back to one of his most beloved roles. Bremner, who wrote both Bad Boys for Life and Bad Boys: Ride or Die, is also working on Smiths next Netflix thriller, Fast and Loose. The original Men in Black trilogy made nearly $2 billion, but the 2019 reboot, Men in Black: International, underperformed. Sony now plans to involve Smith from the start, possibly in a lead or mentor role, after he reviews the script.
