Christian Zyp interviews Danny Chamberlin (Festival Director) about YIKES! FILM FESTIVAL. The three day festival features sci-fi, horror, mystery, experimental, b-movie and fantasy short films and features from Nov 6th - 8th, 2025 at The Creative Hive (16819 111 Ave NW, Edmonton).
YIKES! FILM FESTIVAL is a three day celebration of everything in Genre Film. Above all, the festival is focused on FUN for the attendees. Think less of a red carpet and more watching movies with your friends, or having drinks at your favourite pub. Each evening will include viewings of the nominated films. Breaks will be provided throughout the program to allow for mingling, drinks, bathroom breaks, giveaways and announcements. After the film portion of the program, each night will cap off each night with live music from some incredible local artists and bands! We have curated an experience for film fans to connect and celebrate the wonderful medium that is film, all while having a good time. Food and drinks also available!
