I wonder if Murphy will ever stop just panickingly homebrewing things to give himself chances he wouldn't give the players (nat 20s are not a success automatically but he wanted them to not get surprised, also mismanaging the entrance into combat that would have been later by initiative, the non given advantage for unseen attacker, and this is just the first 10mins). It just feels handwaved and lazy, iIf this pod wasn't theater of the mind he wouldn't be even able to manage the game
